Viewing advice

Both AccessKey and TabIndex keyboard shortcuts are used throughout this site and are intended to help users who have difficulty in using pointing devices such as a mouse.

Text size & text only option

Text Size

You can increase the text and overall size by using the [larger text] and [normal text] links along top each page and change to a higher contrast option if required. Once activated each subsequent page will also be displayed with new selection.

Text only option

To assist those who would prefer to view site without graphics or using text readers a 'text only' option is provided. Once activated all subsequent pages will be displayed in text mode.

There is the option at the bottom of each 'text only' page to enable return to graphics style page and also user controls to personalise the page to individual preferences and requirements.

These can easily be accessed using tab key on keyboard.

Access Key Shortcuts

This website uses the method of underlining the letter in the link text used as the access key following the already used convention known to many internet and computer users.

Links highlighted

Each link when active will be clearly highlighted to aid overall page navigation.

Main access link keys

The following information (shown alphabetically) details each of the main access key keyboard shortcut commands common to every page available to you. If there are two links with the same link key; tapping it twice will jump to next link. Other keys are shown where appropriate within the page text links.

Tab Index Shortcuts

Tab key access is also available and follows the logical direction of top to bottom and left to right within the main text content area.

Links highlighted

Repeated tapping of tab key will move down the page and highlight the link text of each link.

Browser variations

Depending on your browser type use one of the following:

Internet Explorer 5+: Hold down the ALT key and select the number/letter of the access key, then press ENTER.

Internet Explorer 4: Hold down the ALT key and select the number/letter of the access key.

Internet Explorer 5+ for Mac: Hold down the CTRL key and select the number/letter of the access key

Internet Explorer 4.5 for Mac: Access keys are not supported.

Netscape 6+: Hold down the ALT key and select the number/letter of the access key.

Netscape earlier versions: Access keys are not supported.

Mozilla: Hold down the ALT key and select the number/letter of the access key.
